How it works

Call Parents is desktop windows software that can be easily installed by the school. It integrates i.e. reads live student, staff and attendance information in real time with all the main Management Information Systems in the UK – RM Integris, Pearson Phoenix (Gold   e1), Bromcom, Serco Learning (facility CMIS), SEEMIS Click   Go and PARS (via SIMS attendance) with technical partnerships in place. With Capita SIMS, Call Parents is the only system of its kind to have gained ‘Premier Partner’ status.

Overview of the system

• Each school has a unique ID and password which they use to log into the Call Parents desktop software.
• Schools can then select all pupils, year, class or group of pupils whose parents they would like to send a message to. In addition teachers in the school can also be contacted in this way.
• The type of message to send can then be selected. This can either be a text message to mobiles (any parent who does not have a mobile phone, will have that message converted into speech and delivered to their landline) or an email to parents which can be sent along with an attachment.

• The text message option pre-fills the name of the school using and allows them to type in a new message or select a previously saved message.
• The email option allows an email to be sent to all or selected parents along with an attachment, in addition a text message can be sent to parents to prompt them to access and read that email.
• School will receive a delivery receipt for each text message and phone call which gives peace of mind that the message has been receive on the mobile phone and the parents have answered the phone call.
